This should be a controlled game rather than a wild one. Kashiwa keep the ball and wait for the opening, and Nagasaki sit deep and hope for a set piece. Neither side needs a shootout to get what it wants tonight. The history backs a quiet night too. The last 20 meetings have averaged just over 2 goals in total, and only about a third of them had three or more goals. Only 9 of Derry's last 20 games have had three or more. Our read is 1-0 Bohemians, a set piece or a second half break deciding a flat Dublin game, and that suits us. The risk is that this pairing can burst into life. We still want the low scoring night here.

This needs a third goal to land, and a fourth would make it comfortable. The history is quieter than the recent games. The eight meetings between them have averaged more than 2 goals, and Dundalk's last two wins in this series were 1-0 and 2-1. Galway are hard work for anyone chasing a result. Dundalk have to push after five league games without a win, though, and Galway keep letting goals in on their travels. We want the busier game.

Arsenal have to win by three or more, and that has been rare for them. The honest worry is the gap in class and in match fitness. Arsenal are five days off a 3-0 win over Manchester City, with Saka and Rice back in the team. Coventry have gone 111 days without a competitive game, and their leading scorer Haji Wright is out. We are still happy to back Coventry with the goals start.

Cordoba have also lost by 2 or more goals in 4 of their last 14, so they can fall apart. We still want Cordoba with the head start.

This is the first competitive game of the season for both clubs after around three months off, so a ragged, cagey opening half hour would be no shock. We still want the goals here.
