Sabah FA vs Slavia Praha — Tips & Analysis

Under 3: Both of these teams defend for a living, and that is the case for fewer goals. Sabah have lost once in their last eight home games and they let in under a goal a game there. Their last outing was a 0-0 at Neftchi Baku. Fewer than a third of Sabah's games have gone past 3 goals. Slavia have been even better on their travels. They have won five and tied one of their last six away games, letting in well under a goal a game in them. Slavia are the stronger side, but they come to Baku without Ogbu and Chaloupek. Konecny is suspended too, after his red card against Lens. A patched up team usually plays more carefully, not more openly. Sabah are missing Khayal Aliyev, who is still working back from a long hamstring injury. The likeliest shape is Slavia keeping the ball without breaking Sabah down, with a set piece or a counter deciding who takes the three points. A 1-1 is our read, and two goals is well inside this one. The worry is Slavia's attack. They score almost 3 goals a game and 10 of their last 13 games had 3 or more. Sabah have 5-2 and 4-0 home wins in Europe already, so they can hurt a weakened Slavia. An early goal either way could open this up. We still want the quieter game.
